Official Halloween 2 Synopsis Teases Hero

The Weinsteins have released the first official synopsis for Rob Zombie's Halloween 2, and in it they talk about an "an unlikely new hero". As long as it isn't Busta Rhymes I'll be really happy. Dig it!
"It's that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable."
So who is this new hero? How will the unstoppable be stopped? Our guess? Uncle Coffins. We've been seeing way too much of him lately to be just a bit player, but then again, lord knows what Zombie has up his sleeve. Guess we'll all find out on August 28th when the film hits theatres.

We, the undersigned, ask that Robert Bartleh Cummings (A.K.A. Rob Zombie), director of Weinstein Company/ Dimension Films upcoming motion picture “H2: Halloween 2” reconsider the decision to take the sequel of the re-visioning of Halloween and The Halloween Franchise in the direction in which it has been directed.
We feel that Rob Zombie’s 2007 Re-visioning of Halloween took the film and franchise in a wrong but still salvageable direction. From the information provided by Robert Cummings on the sequel to that motion picture and the trailer released to the internet on youtube.com and movies.yahoo.com. It is clear that he is taking the Halloween franchise further down the spiral from which many fans feel there will be no return.
We feel that from the scenes of the trailer and information provided the film looks to be a mimic of a few combined horror motion pictures. We also feel that his casting of Sheri Lyn Skurkis (A.K.A. Sheri Moon Zombie) is not based on acting ability or merit, but due only to the fact he must cast his spouse in every motion picture he directs. Sheri Moon should be omitted from the cast and those scenes be corrected.
Another major concern for us fans is that it has been reported by Robert Cummings, other cast and news that Michael Myers will not be wearing the classic William Shatner based mask or any altered or re-envisioned concept of that mask for 70% of the feature motion picture.
We the fans ask that Mr. Cummings re-write and re-shoot the film with the deletion of the mentioned scenes and/or plot. We feel that Michael Myers is 100% evil without cause and should be left at that conclusion. If the film is released as it now stands it will without a doubt destroy the entire franchise and become a mockery of what Debra Hill, John Carpenter, Moustapha Akkad, Tommy Lee Wallace and so many others have immortalized in horror motion picture history.

But...Now all of the people that say we are being childish about petitioning and calling out Rob Z., can see...even Rob can’t stand what he is doing but he is doing it for the money. Not artistic vision, just a payday, cause they will not pick up his other films. Hey... I got an idea why don’t Rob make the film independently from his own bank account if he hates the "studios"so much.

If you want to know why they will not produce or distribute any other film of Robert Cummings. Look at these numbers!!! They don’t lie. If anything Michael Myers is making Rob Zombie bigger and he’s killing him to do it!!! What the grosses on this Halloween or I’m sorry H2 Universal owns the rights to that Film!

Its a fucking movie, don't watch it if you don't like the trailer. Every time the subject of Rob Zombie's (Hell Yeah!!!) Halloween 2 comes up, I feel like I'm in a parking lot being mobbed by Bible thumpers trying to shove tracts in my hand and make me see that they are the only people who know what's going on.

More than likely it will be Laurie. Of course Annie Bracket and her father are two possibilities, as they are supposed to be emotional wrecks after the event of the first film. But Laurie is still odd on in my opinion.

Dude, no one hates you or hopes that you'd slit your wrists. It's great that you're so passionate about horror and the Halloween franchise, however, Rob’s hardly trying to kill the franchise and to suggest that is just plain silly. He’s just lending his own slant. Like it or not, we have very little say. All the petitions and arguing in the world isn’t going to stop the movie, or change one single thing about it. If anything all you're doing is giving the project more publicity and attention. You're being part of the problem and not the solution.
If you hate it so much and really want your support make a difference just don't go see the movie.
