Dead of Night Snags its Vamp - Taye Diggs

It was around November of last year when we last talked about Dead of Night, the live action adaptation of the Dylan Dog Italian comic book series starring Brandon Routh and Sam Huntington as the film's heroes. Now it's time to introduce you to one of the flick's big bads ...

Shock Till You Drop nailed the exclusive that Taye Diggs, who was so great in Equilibrium, has signed on to play the leader of the vampires.

But it won't be just vampires haunting Dead of Nights streets ... "We've got werewolves, zombies and vampires - and a few sub-categories of those," director Kevin Munroe told STYD.

Handling the creature F/X for the film will be the sickos (and I mean that in the most loving way imaginable) at Drac Sudios, and filming is taking place now in the New Orleans area.

Dylan Dog (Routh) is forced back into his nightmare investigations after he is approached by a woman who claims to have seen her father brutally murdered by a mysterious creature. With his street smarts, his gun, and a set of paranormal weapons, Dylan attempts to restore order both above and below ground.
