Cool Elm Street Remake Fan Trailer
Even though everything has been relatively quiet, you can bet that there are a TON of actors out there vying for the role of Freddy in Platinum Dunes' A Nightmare on Elm Street remake. One such actor is Christopher Johnson, and he's gone so far as to actually cut a trailer.
This concept piece was created by Christopher Johnson IV (and crew) for his agent Robert Depp at the Beverly Hecht Agency to demonstrate his passion and take for a 21st Century Freddy Krueger. Depp is working to land an audition for Johnson with the Platinum Dunes camp and their casting people for the role of Freddy.
Honestly, there are a lot of good concepts in the trailer. I like that Freddy is still burning and his blades are so hot from the fires that they glow. In fact, that's probably more imaginative than what we're gonna get. Although it's highly possible Fuller and Form will see this and rip the guy off.
Overall, job well done. Dig on it below.

I love it! Freddy being on fire is totally scary! I'm very sad that I think this 2 minute trailer will be better than the actual remake. *sigh*

I concur! Bravo!
Though I think Creepy's on to something re: Platinum Dunes ripping the premise off from this fan trailer. I hope not but there's a part of me that thinks what we'll wind up getting in their remake is pablum on a glossy, production-designed-within-an-inch-of-its-life platter.
