Shooting for the Brandon Routh starrer Dead of Night, based on the wildly popular Italian comic Dylan Dog, gets under way today in New York, and THR is reporting that Oscar-winning effects man Greg Cannom has joined the production to handle makeup effects.
Kevin Munroe (TMNT) is directing from a script by Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly that has moved the action from the UK to the deep bayou of Louisiana; should be an interesting switch for comic fans. The story follows Dylan Dog (Routh), a P.I. who gets caught up in the midst of the supernatural.
Vampires, zombies and werewolves are only part of this world and with Cannom’s formidable skills helping out, things are looking even better for Dead of Night. Keep it here for updates as the film progresses!
