Goosebumps 2 Adds Ken Jeong, Chris Parnell and Wendi McLendon-Covey

It was just last week that we let you guys know that Stephen King’s IT star Jeremy Ray Taylor was set to lead the new Goosebumps sequel along with Madison Iseman, Ben O’Brien, and Caleel Harris.
Today we have news via Variety that Wendi McLendon-Covey (“The Goldbergs”), Ken Jeong (The Hangover), and Chris Parnell (“Archer”) are joining director Ari Sandel’s Goosebumps 2 as well.
I’m excited as hell for this upcoming sequel, especially considering the cast they are gathering together. I was a big fan of the R.L. Stine books series as a kid and found the recent Jack Black film adaptation to be a kid’s horror delight.

Synopsis:
Upset about moving from the big city to a small town, young Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets his beautiful neighbor Hannah (Odeya Rush). The teen is surprised to learn that Hannah’s mysterious father is R.L. Stine (Jack Black), the famous author of the best-selling “Goosebumps” series. When Zach accidentally unleashes the monsters from the fantastic tales, it’s up to Stine, his daughter and Cooper to return the beasts back to the books where they belong.
