Savini & Steensland go Beyond the Pale

We’ve been keeping close tabs on the filmmaking career of Mark Steensland (“Sucker”, “Lovecraft’s Pillow”) and it’s a good thing, too, because it’s moving pretty damn quick now.

Today it was announced that a selection of Steensland’s short films, including the aforementioned duo along with "Peekers" (which we gave you the first look at a few weeks back) will be part of an upcoming DVD compilation being released by Cemetery Dance Publications called Beyond the Pale, Volume 1.

But Steensland won’t be alone on this disc; also included in the first release will be a brand-new short film from effects man-cum-actor/director Tom Savini, the first output from Savini’s Digital Film Production Program, a part of his enormously successful Special Make-up Effects Program. To the right you can see a title treatment for the upcoming DVD, which will be out later this year. Stay tuned for the full details as to the disc’s contents as we receive them!
