The Best Paranormal Evidence Ever Captured in The Gasp Menagerie

I’ve moved cases aside.  Shelving shuffled to make room.  Less interesting exhibits stocked away…

Front and center in this collection, right at the entrance, is a new exhibit.  Well lit, very secure, with a shiny brass plaque mounted on the front. On that plaque, the phrase “Exhibit A.”

I’ve examined countless pieces of evidence in my life.  Some of it was very interesting.  I’ve been disturbed once or twice.  Some things, like the digitally stabilized Patterson-Gimlin film of Sasquatch, amazed me, as it proved the existence of something previously unknown.  But Bigfoot is natural.  Just an animal we don’t see very often and haven’t cataloged officially.

This… friends, this is something entirely different.

There’s a YouTube channel called Exploring Abandoned Mines.  It features exactly what you’d think: videos of people exploring abandoned mines around the world.  It’s been around awhile, has over 20,000 subscribers, and has always featured videos matching the theme and nothing else.  It’s not a viral marketing account for a new film.  It’s not someone like the infamous secureteam10 who constantly promote bogus “evidence” videos.

On December 1st they posted a video titled “Creepy Sounds Captured in an Abandoned Mine While Reviewing the ThruNite TN12 Flashlight.”  The video is just that: an explorer named Frank visiting the abandoned Waldeck Mine in Western Australia while showing off the capabilities of a very bright flashlight.  This also fits the previous content, as they’d frequently reviewed this kind of gear on the channel before.

After a relatively uneventful beginning reaching the back of the small mine, going over the features and history, something is very clearly heard on the video.  Frank comments on it, turns around.  Hears nothing.  He walks back towards the back of the mine again; then it starts in earnest.

What it is can only be described as… vocalizations.  Some report hearing English phrases.  I heard no such thing.  I heard a hissing language, a chant, wrapping and looping around itself as if several versions of the same voice were going at the same time, slightly offset.  It’s not some brief burst.  It continues.  Frank is audibly upset.  Even in this extremely old, unstable mine, Frank was fearless.  This has him shaken.  He tries to blame it on birds or even snakes.  But it keeps going, and it pursues him as he heads out of the mine.  He eventually just ends the video abruptly and focuses on getting out of there.

I have to warn you.  Personally, this audio upset me.  I only listened closely once.  I want to study it, but I don’t want to hear it again.  All I could get from this is HATE.  Just ugly, evil hate.   Like I could feel it on my brain more than hear it.  This is a bad place… and a bad thing.  If you’re impressionable, if you’re sensitive, think about whether you want to listen to this.

The following is the original video.  The sounds start around the twelve-minute mark.

If you want to hear an isolated version of the audio, the following video (mislabeled as EVP, which this is not; it’s AVP) contains the audio.

The source seems unimpeachable.  There’s no way it’s a hoax.  The sounds are unmistakable.  It can’t be something we’re mistaking for vocalizations.  It isn’t human.  Not a normal human voice, to be sure.  Frank is clearly alone.  It can’t be a prank.

It’s clear it has no natural source that can be explained by science, and there’s no way it can be a hoax.

Guys, this is it.  This is the best evidence I’ve ever experienced of true paranormal activity.  It’s what many of us have been waiting for.

PROOF.

Have a weird story? Potential evidence of the supernatural, or at least something hard to explain? Spot any creepy critters out there roaming the wilds? LET ME KNOW! I’d love to talk about it and possibly write it up right here in The Gasp Menagerie. You’ll get appropriate credit, of course, and everyone else will get fresh creepy (as opposed to fresh Creepy, which, trust me… nobody wants that) to enjoy. As always, I can be found at mrdark@dreadcentral.com. Now get out there, find some weird, and let’s get this party started.
