Minds Eye Entertainment, in association with Bridgegate Pictures and VMI Worldwide, has just announced that principal photography for sci-fi thriller The Recall has begun up in British Columbia, Canada. What’s that? You never even heard about this one? We hadn’t either, but we’ve got all the info for ya today!
Starring Wesley Snipes, The Recall centers on five friends who vacation at a remote lake house, unaware that planet Earth is under an alien invasion and mass abduction. Snipes will play “The Hunter,” which suggests that he’s going to be kicking some serious alien ass. But of course he is!
Mauro Borrelli (The Ghostmaker) directs a screenplay by Reggie Keyohara III (Send in the Clowns) and Sam Acton. The cast also includes RJ Mitte (“Breaking Bad”), Jedidiah Goodacre (Descendants), Niko Pepaj (“Awkward”), Laura Maria Bilgeri (Toby Goes to Camp), and Hannah Rose May (“Ballers”).
“I am thrilled to collaborate with the team from Bridgegate Pictures and VMI Worldwide to bring the script The Recall to life,” said Kevin Dewalt, CEO of Minds Eye Entertainment. “We couldn’t be more proud to work with a young cast and the talented Wesley Snipes to create a film that sci-fi audiences will be excited to see.”
Portions of the film will be shot in virtual reality.
Minds Eye International has North American distribution rights to The Recall, while VMI Worldwide has international rights. The film will be produced by Kevin Dewalt (Forsaken, The Tall Man) and Danielle Masters (Forsaken, WolfCop), and executive produced by Guy Griffithe, Andre Relis, Frank White, and Isabella Ragona.
