Werewolves never go out of style, and in the wake of recent films like Late Phases and Wolf Cop comes Howlers, writer/director Josh Ridgway’s addition to the transformative sub-genre. He’s set to begin shooting the film next month, and we’ve got all the details today. Read on!
Per Arrow in the Head, Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints) and Chad Michael Collins will star in the werewolf flick. Collins will be playing Colt, a badass werewolf fighter from the old west who continues his battle against the lycanthropes in the present day.
Ridgway describes the film as “Blade meets Wyatt Earp in a small town, combining elements of action, horror and camp in the tradition of John Carpenter.”
The cast also includes Matthew Tompkins and Chelsea Edmundson.
Synopsis:
Howlers tells the story of a mysterious monster hunter from the old west who returns from the grave to stop a bloodthirsty werewolf motorcycle gang from terrorizing a small town.
