Ghostbusters Fandom Documentary in Production

Continuing the trend of making documentaries about the fandoms of popular franchises, Ghostheads will explore the popularity of the Ghosbusters series. Thankfully, they promise that it won’t just be “Hey, isn’t Ghostbusters great?!” but will instead take a look at the extreme side of Ghostbusters fandom, in addition to containing “countless humanizing stories that will connect with audiences about camaraderie, overcoming obstacles, and that no one should ever feel alone or isolated.”
It’s always interesting to see how movies can really bring people together (just look at how people bond over Star Wars) so there should be a lot of potential for a great documentary.
No word yet on whether any veterans of the franchise will be featured, but with the new movie out next year, this seems like it could be the perfect companion piece. You can head over to Indiegogo to help fund the doc and stay updated on Facebook.
