Poptaters Unveils Freddy and Jason Themed Mr. Potato Head

I can’t say that I’ve ever wanted a Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees-themed Mr. Potato Head, but now they seem like something I can’t possibly live without. The folks at Poptaters recently unveiled the Freddy and Jason Mr. Potato Head toys, which will surely end up in numerous collections before all is said and done. Even though I don’t generally gravitate towards collectibles, I feel like these are something I should own. Behold the awe-inspiring power of consumerism!
All joking aside, seeing Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees as Mr. Potato Head (or is that Mr. Potato Head as Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees?) is actually kind of cool. So cool, in fact, that I’m actually willing to overlook Poptaters’ pun-heavy descriptions. All is forgiven.
The Freddy description reads, “From a Fried-Mare on Elm Street! Everybody’s favorite sharp-gloved spud is now the A Nightmare on Elm Street Freddy Kruger Poptaters Mr. Potato Head.”
Meanwhile, the Jason description explains, “It’s Fry-Day the 13th! Everybody’s favorite crazed spud in a hockey mask is now the Friday the 13th Jason Voorhees Poptaters Mr. Potato Head.”
Interested parties can pick up their Freddy and Jason Mr. Potato Head toys this October. You can pre-order them through Entertainment Earth, but they’ll easily set you back $17.99 a piece. If that’s too pricey, you can always buy a bag of potatoes and make your own.
