Suspense Thriller Cornered Enters Production

We recently received an update on the upcoming indie suspense thriller entitled Cornered, which is slated for completion in January, 2010. It was written by Hunter G. Williams and Kevin Duane Carson and is described as "a journey through 'the darkness of murder' and into the heart of a serial killer, who will not stop until all the players are killed."

When director Gregory Lamberson says "slime", he means it! We just received four new character sheets from Lamberson's upcoming indie goo-fest Slime City Massacre, and can we just say, "Greg, you are one sick fuck!"

Unrequited Trailer and Official Site

Not sure how we missed hearing about the new indie thriller Unrequited, especially since it stars one of the Twilight kids, Michael Welch, but considering he's a human in the Saga rather than a sparkly vamp or a member of the wolf pack, I guess it's understandable. In any event, a trailer landed online today for Unrequited, and we've got a look at it right here.

A bit more video content has come out of this year's AFM, this time for the horror/comedy known as Dahmer Vs. Gacy, which promises to leave blood on the walls and laughs in your belly!

Angst Reigns Supreme in The Final

Revenge is a dish best served with your foot up someone's ass. This is especially true for the proverbial kids who cannot take it anymore in the new slasher/revenge flick The Final.

Walking Distance / Experimental Activity Title Switch Update

We love when clarification is given. It just makes everything seem a bit saner, ya know? It seems that The Hollywood Reporter didn't have all of its ducks in a row concerning the title switch of Walking Distance to Experimental Activity.

Trailer of the Mountain Witch

One of these years I have to attend the American Film Market. The great thing about AFM is that it more or less gives me a head's up on the movies I will more than likely be reviewing in the coming year. For example, Legend of the Mountain Witch, a film that looks like a melding of Blair Witch and The Final Terror, a film I can almost guarantee I will be the one at Dread Central reviewing when it arrives on DVD.

Title Change: Walking Distance Leads to Experimental Activity

The success of Paranormal Activity was bound to change a lot of things. Who knew it would even lead to the change in film title for Mel House's Walking Distance?

Kat Von D Talks The Bleeding at the Film's LA Premiere

This scribe hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of Crush Film’s The Bleeding last night at Sunset 5 in Hollywood, CA, and chatted with the film’s co-star and tattoo artist extraordinaire Kat Von D of the reality series "LA Ink". Von D talked up her role as the sexy vampire Vanya in what is her feature film debut, which was directed by Charles Picerni, as well as riffed on the effects required of her.

Spooky Foreclosure Teaser Trailer

Another film looking for a 2010 release that looks to ride high on the wave of 2009's ghostly success stories is Richard Ledes' haunting opus Foreclosure. A teaser trailer became available today, and we must admit it's gotten our attention.

Teaser Trailer and Art for Pearblossom

And the award for least likely title for a horror film goes to ... Who cares what the movie's called? It stars Sophie Monk, and she's like the finest haul of Halloween candy imaginable! Time for a treat!

Dushku's Valediction Gets Locked In with a Trailer

And a name change has officially occurred for the latest Eliza Dushku movie. The film formerly known as Valediction has changed its title to The New Flick with the Tough Chick Who's Not the Best Actress in the World In It. Kidding; we love Eliza. The film is now known as Locked In, and it's gotten itself a brand-spanking new trailer to go along with the snazzy new moniker.

Another Grizzly Bear out for Grisly Revenge

There has been a brief uptick in killer bear flicks the last two years, and not all for the best. Now comes a new one simply titled Bear that, judging by its trailer, takes the T-Rex/jeep scene from Jurassic Park, ages the occupants in peril about 15 years, replaces the T-Rex with a very angry grizzly with vengeance on its mind, and builds an entire movie around it.

Another paranormal themed found footage film has surfaced detailing the horrifying exploits of a very ... very ... haunted house. Dare you enter the house at 1013 Briar Lane? Don't forget your nightlight!
