‘Junction Row’ Trailer Brings Sci-Fi Horror Craziness to Fantasia

Announced as part of Fantasia Film Festival’s final wave of programming is the Canadian feature Junction Row, directed by famed shorts director Ashlea Wessel.

Today we have the first teaser trailer, courtesy of Raven Banner, in which we see Army veteran Juno (Katharine Isabelle, Ginger Snaps, American Mary, Freddy vs. Jason), who has finally begun rebuilding her life after addiction when she learns her former friend Ruby (Natalie Brown, The Breach, The Strain) has disappeared inside the dangerous housing compound known as Junction Row, she returns to confront her past.

What begins as a search for a missing friend soon uncovers a terrifying new drug known as “The Link,” a ruthless dealer named Hugo (Kayla Dumont, The Silencing, Spare Parts), and a far darker force lurking beneath the surface.

“Director Ashlea Wessel expands on her acclaimed shorts Tick, Weirdo, and segments from Creepy Bits with a feature debut that blends creature horror, action, sci-fi terror, and social commentary,” notes the festival.

Written by Adam Cesare (Clown in a Cornfield), Matt Serafini, and Wessel, Junction Row also stars Kyle Mac (Between, Government Cheese), Glen Gould (Tulsa King, At the Place of Ghosts), and features a cameo by genre favorite Julian Richings (Supernatural, Relax I’m From the Future).
