‘Sinner’ Star Li Jun Li Joins ‘The Last of Us’ Season 3

Li Jun Li, one of the breakout stars of Sinners, has joined the third season of The Last of Us, reports Variety.
In the HBO Max series, she will play Miriam, a Seraphite and the mother of Lev and Yara. As previously announced, Michelle Mao will play Yara and Kyriana Kratter will play Lev, siblings whose paths cross with Abby at a pivotal moment, as Ellie begins her revenge rampage in Seattle.
She joins a growing ensemble that includes Jason Ritter and Patrick Wilson, along with Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, and Spencer Lord, who have been promoted to series regulars after recurring in Season 2. They join previously announced additions of Clea DuVall and Jorge Lendeborg Jr., the latter taking over the role of Manny.
Returning cast members include Kaitlyn Dever, Bella Ramsey, Isabella Merced, Gabriel Luna, and Jeffrey Wright.
Based on the hit video game franchise, the series is set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a fungal infection that transforms much of humanity into violent, infected creatures.
Li Jun Li is set to appear next in Spider-Noir, starring opposite Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage, and recently drew acclaim for her performance as Grace Chow in Ryan Coogler’s Oscar record-breaking vampire drama Sinners.
