‘Mortal Kombat II’ Delivers on the Video Game Nostalgia with New Trailer
Warner Bros. just unveiled another trailer for Mortal Kombat II…and it has the MK fan in me pumped.
The new trailer (see below) calls back to the classic video game franchise, with fighter introductions, action galore, and that theme song guaranteed to get the blood pumping.
Mortal Kombat II follows “the fan favorite champions — now joined by Johnny Cage (Karl Urban) — as they are pitted against one another in the ultimate battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford) that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders.”
Simon McQuoid returns to direct from a script written by Jeremy Slater (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire).
The film also stars Ludi Lin, Jessica McNamee, Joe Taslim, Hiroyuki Sanada, Adeline Rudolph, Tati Gabrielle, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, and CJ Bloomfield.
Mortal Kombat II brings the fatalities to theaters on May 8th.
