‘Hokum’ – Final Trailer Descends into Witchy Madness

The final trailer for Damian McCarthy‘s Hokum has released…and I truly believe this is about to be one of the scariest films of 2026.

In the new look, we get a bit more lore on the witch at the center of the film, as well as star Adam Scott being warned that he may not look like his passport picture much longer if he stays. Something tells me he doesn’t heed that advice.

Hokum follows Scott as novelist Ohm Bauman, who retreats to a remote inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, where he is consumed by tales of a witch haunting the honeymoon suite. Disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance force him to confront dark corners of his past.

Peter Coonan (King of the Travellers), Austin Amelio (When No One Sees Us), David Wilmot (Hamnet), Will O’Connell (Game of Thrones), and Florence Ordesh (Foundation) also star.

It’s got some big names behind it, including WeaponsThe Ring, It: Chapter One+2, and Paranormal Activity producers Roy Lee and Steven Schneider, not to mention a cast led by Adam Scott (Hellraiser: Bloodlines).

Our very own Josh Korngut called the film “gratuitously frightening hotel horrors” in his review.

Hokum hits theaters May 1 from NEON.
