‘Evil Dead Burn’ Trailer Descriptions Tease Relentless, Grotesque Horror!
Family is the root of all evil.
Warner Bros. summoned the first trailer for Evil Dead Burn at the ongoing CinemaCon in Vegas, and the description of the footage sounds like an onslaught of macabre horror!
“[The] Evil Dead Burn trailer features some GNARLY imagery,” writes The InSnieder. “The headrest of a car sticking through a woman’s face. A hand caught in a car door, prompting the fingers to fall off. A guy falling on a fully loaded dishwasher packed with knives. And there’s a power saw.”
Exhibitor Relations adds, “You’ll never look at a car seat headrest the same again. Or a dishwasher.”
“[The] first teaser for Evil Dead Rise reveals some brutal deadite action,” adds DiscussingFilm. “A deadite impaled by the head of a car seat; a deadite drinking hot candle wax; a young man impaled onto a dishwasher full of knives.”
Director Sébastien Vaniček takes over directing duties in the follow-up to Evil Dead Rise, which also sets the table for next year’s Evil Dead Wrath. Warner Bros. and New Line are all-in on creating an Evil Dead universe.
Dune: Part Two actress Souheila Yacoub stars in Evil Dead Burn alongside Hunter Doohan (Wednesday), Luciane Buchanan (The Night Agent), and Tandi Wright (Pearl), with Erroll Shand, Edgar Price, Maude Davey, Keanu Karim, and Victory Ndukwe.
“I told the studio that I wanted to make a nasty film, a film that hurts, from which you come away tested,” Vaniček previously said of Evil Dead Burn.
“I’m going to put all the horror I have inside, it will be cathartic, and if I haven’t ruined my career and I can continue to make films behind it, I will move on to something other than horror!”
There are no details about the film’s plot just yet, but we’re told it takes place in the middle of a city where Deadites have become fire-resistant?!
From producer Sam Raimi, the new Evil Dead movie will release in theaters on July 24, 2026.
Evil Dead Wrath will open in theaters in 2027.
