When Does ‘The Furious’ Head to Digital?

Lionsgate’s white-knuckle 80s throwback The Furious, an epic action film that’s a brutal mix of John Wick and The Raid, is heading to VOD and digital platforms on July 14th, 2026, Dread Central learned.
Lionsgate is king of the brutal action flicks, and the studio behind John Wick is bringing the hammer down with The Furious, an ultra-violent, extremely bloody masterclass that has critics celebrating it as the best action movie in years.
The premise is simple: a little girl is kidnapped, and the father is god damn furious. You know the saying, a father’s scorn knows no bounds.
“When Wang Wei’s young daughter is abducted by a ruthless criminal network, he turns to local authorities for help — only to be met with corruption and indifference. With no other options, Wei takes matters into his own hands, embarking on a relentless and violent mission to rescue her. Along the way, he forms an uneasy alliance with Navin, a determined journalist searching for his own missing wife. Together, the two men plunge into a brutal underworld, unleashing a relentless assault against the kidnappers in a high-stakes martial arts battle fueled by vengeance.”
The Furious stars Xie Miao as Wang Wei, alongside Joe Taslim, Yang Enyou, Brian Le, and Joey Iwanaga.
Directed by Kenji Tanigaki, the film is rated R for “strong bloody violence and language,” and believe me when I say the film delivers everything it promises.
