Mark Hamill Joins Peacock’s ‘Twisted Metal’ Season 3

Fresh off appearances in two high-profile Stephen King adaptations, Mark Hamill has signed on to join Season 3 of Peacock’s Twisted Metal, writes TheInsneider.
While details about Hamill’s role are being kept under wraps, the legendary actor will join returning stars Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz as the post-apocalyptic action-comedy series continues to expand the world of the beloved PlayStation franchise.
Hamill has remained a major presence in genre entertainment for decades, from his iconic turn as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars saga to his acclaimed voice work as The Joker across numerous animated projects and video games. Most recently, he appeared in adaptations of The Life of Chuck and The Long Walk.
Based on the popular PlayStation video game series, Twisted Metal stars Mackie as John Doe, a motor-mouthed outsider with amnesia. He is offered a chance at a better life if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland. Beatriz stars as Quiet, a fierce car thief who becomes his reluctant ally.
Peacock’s adaptation quickly became one of the streamer’s most successful original series. Season 2 continued the story’s evolution: John Doe and Quiet are thrust into the lethal Twisted Metal tournament hosted by the mysterious and chaotic Calypso. With 16 other drivers competing for a single wish, John navigates the violent derby while struggling to connect with his long-lost sister, Dollface, who has been brainwashed into a deadly combatant.
