Every New Horror And Thriller Release Hitting Hulu This June

Hulu has the hits this summer! They’re getting steamy by giving us two reasons to drool over the two of the Skarsgård brothers in Barbarian and Infinity Pool. We’re getting premieres, steamy thrillers, and epic sci-fi adventures. They’re even giving the Twilight fans four movies in a bid to make sure there is something for everyone.

While the streamer has a ton of stuff to look forward to feasting our eyeballs on, I managed to pick five things I need to see first.

Attack The Block (2011)

A group of teens defends their South London block from aliens. To make things even better, John Boyega and Jodie Whittaker are in the cast. This movie is my top priority, and I cannot wait to make people watch it with me. It’s worth the cost of a Hulu subscription itself. This is where I will be spending my summer. See y’all in the fall.

Barbarian (2022)

A woman finds out the Airbnb she reserved has a terrifying secret. I had fun with this movie but am mostly excited to see it hit Hulu because it means more of my friends can see it. I have been waiting for some folks to experience this ride and give me their thoughts immediately. Also, I am just so here for the Skarsgård‘s slow takeover of this screamer after dominating the streamer formerly known as HBOMax for so long. Perhaps that name change is why they’re seeing other apps.

Jagged Mind (2023)

A woman experiencing blackouts and weird visions realizes she’s in a time loop that might have something to do with her new girlfriend. I have been waiting for this to hit Hulu for months! I couldn’t get my hands on a screener, so will be rolling in to see it for the first time with everyone else. This might be my favorite premiere on a streamer this summer.

One Hour Photo (2002)

A photo developer becomes obsessed with a family. As one of the millions or billions that grew up living off of Robin Williams movies and shows, I was happy to see him in the genre for something not family-friendly. He left us way too soon, so we didn’t get nearly enough time with him. I haven’t seen this movie since I was a tween, and I owe it a rewatch. I plan to be there the day it hits Hulu.

The Oxford Murders (2008)

A professor and a grad student must work together to stop murders linked to mathematical symbols. I don’t know nothing about no numbers. However, I know that when Elijah Wood
turns up in the genre, shit’s gonna get really weird. I’m here to kick the summer of getting my face cracked and whispering, “wtf!”

Hulu understands the assignment, and we are welcome. This list has a lot of titles that will keep people talking, and I cannot wait. I also just love that it gave us so many reasons to stay inside this summer. I was going to do that anyway, but it’s more fun with new stuff to watch.

Do you have your eye on some of these titles hitting Hulu? Let me know which ones you’re excited about at @misssharai.
