It’s Harvest Time! New Stills and More!
At the beginning of the year we told you that Martin Sonntag and Bastian Brinch Pedersen had teamed up with Kim Sønderholm to write the horror short Harvest (Danish title Høsten), which won “Best Special Effects” following its world premiere during the Movie Battle event at Denmark’s biggest film festival CPH PIX on April 20th in Copenhagen.
Next up, German audiences will be able to see the film during Weekend of Fear on May 2nd in Nürnberg, Germany. There will be a re-run in Copenhagen on May 7th at Filmstationen, and on June 27th it will be screened during Kultfilmsfestivalen in Alingsås, Sweden. There are a lot more screenings coming up worldwide so keep your eyes open.
We’ll be posting our review of the film shortly, but in the meantime here are a few stills to further pique your interest.
Along with Sønderholm, who co-directed with Sonntag, Harvest stars Siff Andersson, Slavko Labovic, and Julie Kunz with an introduction by Lloyd Kaufman.
In the film we meet John (Sønderholm), a doctor by day who moonlights as an organ harvester at night. Kim says, “It’s going to be messy, very messy… It’s a fun, vicious, and nasty little short film that has some humor in it as well.”
