My Bloody Valentine 3D Gets Mostly 2D Release and New Trailer
Some crappy news came out today for fans who have been looking forward to seeing Harry Warden reach out of the big screen to tear their hearts out in “>My Bloody Valentine 3D; apparently most theaters will be carrying the flick in 2D only.
The New York Times reported this sad tidbit of news today. “Like all studios experimenting with 3D, Lionsgate is struggling with a shortage of theaters equipped to project the work. By the release date for My Bloody Valentine 3D, Lionsgate will have only 900 3D screens available, so it will show a 2D version of the movie on about 1,600 screens.”
What does this mean? Before you head out to theaters on January 16th, call first. Not seeing the flick in 3D would be like eating popcorn without the salt. What’s the point!?!
