Eli Roth gave us something special to share with you cats who are eagerly awaiting the upcoming remake of Cabin Fever… your first ever sample of the film’s score! In the video below you’ll find composer Kevin Riepl bringing on the music for the film’s macabre events! Very cool!
The film stars Gage Golightly (“Teen Wolf”), Dustin Ingram (Paranormal Activity 3), Samuel Davis (“From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series:), Matthew Daddario (Delivery Man), and Nadine Crocker (Deadgirl). Cabin Fever is produced by Contend’s Evan Astrowsky (who also produced the original film with Roth) and Armory Films’ Chris Lemole and Tim Zajaros. Travis Zariwny directs.
“Travis had an amazing vision for my original script, and as a scary movie fan I really wanted to see it. I almost see this like re-staging a play, and I’m excited to see what ideas Travis and the cast bring to it. They’re all fans of the original and want to make a film that’s a new classic, and I believe they will,” said Roth.
Roth continues, “I saw the cut and thought that what Travis did was so smart – he kept the original script, but he changed the deaths so all the kills are different. You don’t know how they’re going to come. I was watching it and he didn’t tell me that he did that and I was so happy he did – because nobody wants to see a re-do that’s the same thing that they already know. So he leads you in one direction with the audience thinking that they know what’s coming, then puts a fantastic spin on it. And it looks awesome – it’s a really fun movie. I’m happily surprised at how it’s turned out.”
Cabin Fever follows in Eli Roth’s original footsteps when a group of college students, who rent a cabin in the woods to do some partying, begin to fall victim to a flesh-eating virus and all hell breaks loose.
