Tons of News on Kurtzman’s Bump!
This has really been the week for news on “>Bump, the Fangoria Graphix comic that will be headed to feature film land soon courtesy of The Rage director Robert Kurtzman.
Since we’re on the subject of the film, star Tobin Bell recently chatted with the Fango fiends about his role in Bump; “I can say that this is going to be a very scary film. I play a sheriff in a rural Georgia town where some stuff has been going down that is pretty shocking. Of course, he has to investigate all these horrible events.” he told the site, ”This is a great script and I have worked with Bob before, on his movie Buried Alive, and he is always great fun to be around.”
No word on when Bump will actually be rolling, but it also has Ashley Laurence and Sean Patrick Flanery attached, so I’m sure they’re just waiting for some schedules to free up.
Finally, Fangoria also has a eight-chapter preview of the forthcoming Bump novel, which was written by comic creator and screenwriter Mark Kidwell. According to the press release, Bump, the novel, will further explore the horrific tale of Eddie Dill and his legion of monstrous Treehuggers … the novel is an even more brutal and savage view of the nightmarish events that unfold one dark stormy night in the backwoods of Alder County, when 6 stranded motorists happen upon the forgotten Dill farmhouse and unleash the malevolent spirit of a 30 year dead serial killer. Not for the squeamish, this already gruesome horrorshow gets even bloodier and more intense in it’s literary form. Click here to check out the first eight chapters!
Finally, the AMC Fright Fest site has a piece up about the history of the comic, the forthcoming film and more! Dig on that here!
