Malone Talks Sci-Fi Epic Phoenix Dust

Those underground cave dwellers over at Quiet Earth got the chance to chat up Bill Malone at the world premiere of his long-awaited “>Parasomnia and got the lowdown on the man’s next project, a sci-fi epic called Phoenix Dust.
”It’s a kind of sweeping sci-fi with kickass babes and gang-banger robots,” Malone revealed. ”It’s a kind of indie movie but with a budget around $25 million.” Only in Hollywood could a budget of $25 million be considered “indie”.
Not much else is known about the eventual film outside of the fact that it’s an original script Malone penned with Robert Short. A few years back Malone talked about the film and was planning on shooting a short and making a comic book to raise money, but neither have come to light as of yet.
