Don’t Look for Zachary Quinto to Return to American Horror Story

Zachary Quinto appeared in two seasons of FX’s “American Horror Story” – as Chad Warwick in S1, known as “Murder House,” and as Dr. Oliver Thredson/Bloody Face in S2, “Asylum” – but don’t expect to see him return any time soon.

In a recent chat with Yahoo! TV, the actor was asked if there was a chance we might see him in future “AHS” episodes, and his answer was rather disheartening.

“No, I don’t think so,” said Quinto.  “I haven’t had any conversations with anybody about it, but I feel I had a likewise great experience there, and I’m interested in getting away from the genre stuff. I like the fact that [my character] Harry is the antagonist of [‘The Slap’]. I’ve played a lot of antagonist and notable villains in my journey, but I’m willing and excited to, eager to move on from that and the genre world. I’m interested in other worlds. ‘The Slap’ represented that for me. It’s real people, real worlds, real issues, nothing heightened or stylized about the worlds in which these people live, and I like that.”

So far we don’t know what Ryan Murphy & Co. have in store for us in Season 5 of “American Horror Story,” but as of now it’s fairly certain Quinto won’t be a part of it.
