The Road Not Ready
It looks like you may have to adjust your plans of taking the family out to see “>The Road this Thanksgiving, according to a story in this morning’s THR. Though it was scheduled for a limited release on November 14th followed by a wider release on the 26th, it’s now being pushed to December and may not hit in 2008 at all.
Directed by John Hillcoat and based on the best selling novel by Cormac McCarthy, The Road is still in post and, according to sources close to the film, nowhere close to being done. Of course no reason is given, and I can’t help but be curious if this is due to technical reasons or the director just not being happy when what’s been done so far.
Harvey Weinstein definitely wants The Road to be a 2008 movie, sources say, but right now its not looking like a realistic possibility. Do you think he’ll be okay? I worry about the guy. Don’t forget to keep your eyes on The Road‘s official site for updates!
