Jill Marie JonesAs the hotly anticipated Starz series “Ash vs. Evil Dead” gets ready to begin filming, the cast is filling out; and today we’ve got more news on that front. Known for her role on Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow,” Jill Marie Jones has just come aboard this undead ship!

Starz announced today that Jones (pictured right) will play the role of Amanda Fisher in the series, which serves as the long-awaited follow-up to the classic horror film franchise The Evil Dead and is set to film on location in New Zealand this spring and premiere on Starz in late 2015.

Following the grisly murder of her partner, disgraced Michigan State Trooper Amanda Fisher sets out to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility for the crime. But as she soon learns, Ash and his cohorts may be mankind’s only hope against the plague of the dead.

Jones joins the previously announced Ray Santiago, as Ash’s loyal sidekick Pablo Simon Bolivar, and Dana DeLorenzo, as moody wild child Kelly Maxwell. The two team up with Ash in his quest to save the world from the Deadites.
