A quick casting change happened over the past couple of days for The Chair, a project we’ve been covering for a while, as Timothy Muskatell (Deadgirl, Chop) has taken over the lead role of Richard Sullivan, which was originally slated for ex-Leatherface Andrew Bryniarski, who wound up having a scheduling conflict.

You can take a peek below at Muskatell with co-star Rowdy Roddy Piper, who’s also posted a bunch more behind-the-scenes shots on his Twitter and Instagram pages. We’ve also got a look at Bill Oberst, Jr., as the Warden.

This is shaping up to be worth the wait – here’s hoping things go smoothly from here on out!

Directed by Chad Ferrin, The Chair also stars Zach Galligan, Naomi Grossman, Derrick Damions, Kyle Hester, Joe “Animal” Laurinaitis, Susan Eisenberg, Kin Shriner, and Roddy Piper as the prison guard Murphy.

It is filming now through February 24th in Los Angeles, California.

Synopsis:
Richard Sullivan (Muskatell) is an innocent man struggling to escape his fate on death row. Witnessing the murders of his fellow inmates at the hands of the prison’s sadistic and psychotic Warden (Oberst) and his crew of guards, Sullivan decides that the only way to survive is to fight back. With the body count rising, the Warden and his guards close in on Sullivan. As he matches the brutality occurring in the prison, Sullivan starts to lose his grip on reality. Memories of the childhood abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother combine with vivid hallucinations which push him to the very edge, forcing him to question his sanity at every turn.
