Yesterday some news hit the Net regarding “Fear the Walking Dead” being the title of the upcoming companion series to “The Walking Dead” (or possibly just the title of the pilot), and now today we have a few additional details as to when we might be meeting one or more of the spinoff’s characters!

Nerdist‘s Jessica Chobot got the scoop that at least one member of the “Fear the Walking Dead” cast will appear in a six-episode arc during Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” and will cross paths with Team Rick before presumably heading to Los Angeles, where the spinoff is set.

How that ties in logistically with the previous rumors that “Fear the Walking Dead” would take place during the early days of the zombie apocalypse isn’t clear, but we have faith the powers-that-be will figure out a way.  Stay tuned for more as it comes!

Adam Davidson will direct the pilot, which stars Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam Carey, and Cliff Curtis. Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson (who also serves as showrunner) exec produce alongside “The Walking Dead’s” Gale Anne Hurd and Dave Alpert.

The spinoff takes place during the same zombie apocalypse depicted on “The Walking Dead” but in a different location. It’s set in Los Angeles and revolves around Sean Cabrera (Curtis), a divorced teacher, and Nancy Tompkins (Dickens), a female guidance counselor. Dillane plays Nancy’s son, Nick, who has battled a drug problem. Debnam Carey plays Nancy’s ambitious daughter, Ashley.
