The Addams Family’s Ken Weatherwax Passes Away
The world of horror on television has lost a beloved staple of the genre as news has come that Ken Weatherwax, who played Pugsley Addams on 1964-66’s “The Addams Family,” has passed on at age 59 following a heart attack.
The news came from Weatherwax’s niece Shanyn Vieira via Facebook and was later confirmed by TMZ, who report that there will be two funerals for Weatherwax: one for family and the other for fans. Over the years Ken went on to voice Pugsley in the animated “The Addams Family” cartoon in 1973 and then reprised the role as Pugsley Sr. in the TV-movie “Halloween with the New Addams Family.” He also worked on the other side of the camera as a grip on the sets of several Hollywood productions.
We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to offer our sincere condolences to Ken’s family, friends, and constituents. Thanks for all of the laughs, good sir. Your legacy is firmly cemented.
