Horror Makes a Strong Showing Among 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards Nominees

spirit-awardsThe nominees for the 30th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards were announced this morning in Los Angeles, and a couple of horror films made surprisingly strong showings. While I’m predicting Boyhood will be the big winner when the Awards are given out on IFC on February 21, 2015, here’s hoping a few of “our” films also get a little love.

21st ANNUAL KIEHL’S SOMEONE TO WATCH AWARD – The 21st annual Someone to Watch Award, sponsored by Kiehl’s Since 1851, recognizes a talented filmmaker of singular vision who has not yet received appropriate recognition. The award includes a $25,000 unrestricted grant funded by Kiehl’s Since 1851.
