STYD reports that the MPAA has ruled on a rating for J.T. Petty’s Western creature feature The Burrowers. I am happy to say that the pic has received the coveted “Restricted” rating! Now, the only issue is that Lionsgate still has not announced a release date or even the year in which we can see The Burrowers. What the hell?
In our recent chat with J.T. Petty, the filmmaker knows that the company has seen a cut of the film very recently … so maybe word will be coming down soon since the rating was released? Let’s hope so.
The Burrowers takes place in the rugged, untamed West where a group of men set out to locate a family of missing settlers. The usual suspects don’t turn out to be Native Americans, but creatures unimaginable!
