ToyQuest Nabs Monsters Vs. Aliens License
Either Dreamworks has a lot of confidence in ToyQuest or they’re not too thrilled about their first 3D animated film, Monsters Vs. Aliens.
What is ToyQuest? Good question; it’s a small company that’s had various licenses over the years but nothing too big, nothing to put them on our radar especially, until we found word in Global License that Dreamworks has signed ToyQuest to be the master toy licensee for the upcoming 3D animated adventure Monsters Vs. Aliens. From action figures to table-top games to youth electronics, ToyQuest has gotten full-boat license to do whatever they want with characters from the film.
Again, it could mean they’ve upped their staffing and quality and just need a chance like this to shine in the collectibles arena, or it could mean that Dreamworks isn’t thinking they’ll make a lot of money from this film anyway, so why not give it to a smaller company? Hopefully it’s the former because I’ve really been looking forward to this one, damnit!
