Screamfest World Premiere Locks You in the Fear Clinic

Robert Englund - Fear ClinicMaking the leap from web series to feature film, Fear Clinic is set for release from Anchor Bay in early 2015. Ahead of that date a world premiere has just been announced, giving you California readers the chance to see it before anyone else. Read on!

On Wednesday, October 22nd, Fear Clinic will premiere during Screamfest at the historic TCL Chinese 6 Theatres on Hollywood Boulevard, the 7:30 pm PT screening being preceded by “Black Carpet” arrivals at 6:30 pm PT.

In addition to hosting the first public screening of the highly anticipated shocker, Screamfest will be holding a Q&A immediately afterwards with several cast and crew members in attendance, including Corey Taylor, co-star Felisha Terrell, and award-winning FX creators Robert Kurtzman and Steve Johnson.

On top of that, the actual “Fear Chamber” used in the film will be on display in the lobby of the TCL Chinese 6. Do you dare enter?

Written by Aaron Drane and Robert G. Hall (Laid to Rest) and directed by Hall, the film stars Robert “Freddy Krueger” Englund (pictured above), Fiona Dourif, and Thomas Dekker and features the acting debut of Stone Sour and Slipknot lead vocalist Corey Taylor.

Synopsis
When trauma-induced phobias begin to re-emerge in five survivors a year after their horrifying tragedy, they return to the “Fear Clinic,” hoping to find the answers they need to get cured.

Dr. Andover (Robert Englund), a fear doctor who runs the clinic, uses his Fear Chamber to animate their fears in the form of terrifying hallucinations. However, the good doctor soon begins to suspect that something more sinister may be at work, something that yearns to be more than just a hallucination…
