Clowns Are Haunting Kern County, California When the Sun Goes Down

This isn’t a movie or a video game, Dreadies. This is another one of those real-life chillers, like when the bath salts guy chewed that dude’s face off. This isn’t as heavy as that story, but clowns. man… friggin clowns.

Known as The Wasco Clown, this clown (or possibly multiple clowns) has been seen lurking around Kern County when the streets get dark. He’s even got a social media presence with The Wasco Clown Instagram account.

And apparently, The Wasco Clown has either inspired or conspired with other clowns as the Instagram account shows new jesters in Delano and Bakersfield; the wild looking Bakersfield Clown is shown below. Of course, the appearance of random clowns has led to the over-imagination of the public as a boy in Wasco claimed he was chased by the clown, who was brandishing an axe, and there have been multiple reports of the clown committing all types of mischievous acts. The Kern County Sheriff’s Department says all the reports are unfounded.

To put in our horror two cents, there might not be anything more frightening than seeing a random clown wandering through dark streets. Well played, Wasco Clown. Well played.
