Genius Products has two new horror DVDs hitting this summer, and we’ve got all the info you want on them right here.
The Wig is the first Korean flick out of the old horror gate in June. I have to say I really dig on the cover art. What’s it all about, you ask?
“A young woman fights for her life against cancer and due to her chemotherapy treatment loses her hair. In an attempt to make her feel more comfortable when going out, her sister innocently gives her a wig. Little do they know, due to a tragic and deadly history, the wig is irrevocably cursed. As the dark and troubling past of the wig unfolds, horrific terrors begin to invade both their lives.”
Hmm. As if cancer wasn’t horrifying enough! The movie’s unrated and as for the DVD special features we’re told to expect a behind-the-scenes making-of and some featurettes on the film’s CGI F/X. The Wig hits DVD on June 24th. Pre-order it here.
Next up in July is another Korean fright flick called Voice. The cover art on this is pretty cool too, but again with the spooky hands? Must be some new trend we’re not aware of. Anyway let’s dig on the synopsis …
“In this bloodthirsty ghost story a high school student is able to hear the voice of her deceased best friend. But is she really listening to the supernatural or are the sounds all in her mind? Full of fresh twists and scares, Voice is the new sound in terror.”
I dunno … the cancer flick is sounding pretty sweet about now. In any event, the film will be presented here uncut along with a behind-the-scenes featurette and more. Voice hits DVD on July 15th. Pre-order it here.
