Crypticon 2008Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25, will be bloody good as Crypticon swings into town courtesy of Random Acts Seattle at the Doubletree Inn & Conference Center in Seattle, WA. For three days horror fans and celebrities will have a chance to mix it up here in the Emerald City.

Guests include Betsy Palmer, Ari Lehman, and Adrienne King from the original Friday The 13th, Kane Hodder (aka Jason Voorhees/Victor Crowley), Chop-Top himself Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The Devil’s Rejects), genre vet Sid Haig (The Devil’s Rejects, Spider Baby), Bill Johnson (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2’s Leatherface), Alex Vincent (Child’s Play), Daeg Faerch and Hanna R. Hall (Rob Zombie’s Halloween), Danielle Harris (Halloween 4 and 5), Shawnee Smith (The Blob, Saw II), comics artist Mark Kidwell, writer Steve Niles (30 Days Of Night) and a whole gutbucket load of others.

Events include the obligatory panel discussions, as well as film programs running though the weekend, a Scary Magic Show, gaming tournements and even a rock concert to coincide with all the other gruesome fun!

As a recent Seattle transplant, I’ll be there with cleaver in hand to enjoy the entire weekend along with all the other like-minded freaks. So if you see me, be sure to stop and say “HELL-o”! As a footnote, Mr. Ken Foree has had to cancel due to filming obligations, but the amazing William Forsythe (The Devil’s Rejects, Raising Arizona and a thousand other great flicks) will be appearing in his steed.

For more info check out the official Crypticon site and keep your bloodshot eyeballs peeled as updates come in. Order your tickets now as this event is sure to be packed with gut-munching gorehounds and fright fanatics.
Also, go to the Doubletree Inn Hotel website to book your room and get directions to the event.
