After Dark’s Broken Horrorfest Plans
Wondering what After Dark Films has planned for this year’s Horrorfest? Amazed, considering the box office returns last year, that they’ll even be another? Yeah, me too, but you can’t help but give ‘em a little respect for not giving up!
Creepy just dropped us a line with an update from the After Dark guys at the Weekend of Horrors; apparently, this year’s lineup of 8 Films to Die For will consist of two original, After Dark- funded films, along with six acquisitions. The one film they’ve named for sure as one of the acquisitions is The Broken, about a woman who believes she sees herself on a busy street one day, and the horrifying events that unfold when she tries to follow herself. Check out a small interview and clip from The Broken right here! Thanks to Hunter for the tip!
Another ADF-produced film mentioned was Slaughter, which could very well be the same film that won the Slamdance screenplay competition which Victor Garcia is attached to direct.
And what of Horrorfest 4? Apparently the very ambitious plan is to have eight original films, zero acquisitions. I seriously doubt that’s a good idea, and kind of takes away from the whole “helping out the indies” mentality, but let’s see how Horrorfest 3 does first, shall we?
