Good Son Helmer Returns With Jack
Joseph Rueben, who impressed a lot of us unsuspecting horror fans with the solid 1993 thriller The Good Son but hasn’t done much since to make us take notice, has signed on to helm a new film called Jack, according to Variety this morning.
Working from a script by David Venable, who apparently also hasn’t done much since 1993’s Stuart Gordon film The Fortress, Rueben’s film is a medical thriller in which a doctor who rehabilitates patients ultimately falls for a person with memory loss, unaware that he’s a serial killer. There’s an awkward first date!
Shooting should go down this fall; assuming it continues to have some genre interest, we’ll keep following it.
