Aronofsky Moves Into Riverview Towers
It’s time like this I wish I had cable … it’s times like every other time I’m glad I don’t, though. The Hollywood Report has learned that Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain) has signed on with AMC to continue developing a thriller called “Riverview Towers”, a project he’s been working on getting made for years with HBO.
The story, which sounds simple enough but I very much doubt actually is, revolves around a family who moves into the titular apartment complex that is filled with paranormal activity. The script was written by John McLaughlin, who’s working on Aronofsky’s Black Swan, a thriller set in the world of ballet(!). McLaughlin’s penning a new version to coincide with the network switch.
I’m curious to see where this goes and just how much involvement Aronofsky will have in the final project. Hopefully it’ll be more of what we love from Darren’s twisted mind. Keep it here for updates!
