Clive Barker’s Art on Display
It seems like it’s been a long time since there’s been a real celebration of Clive Barker as an artist. Even though everyone always talks about the author/director as an incredibly accomplished painter, mostly we have to wait for an Abarat book to see what he’s been up to.
The Sloan Fine Art Gallery in New York is fixing that, though, with an exhibition of Clive Barker’s art work that will run from Thursday, April 17th to May 10th, with an opening reception on Wednesday the 16th from 7 to 9PM.
On display will be multitude of Barker’s works, including concept art done for the upcoming film Midnight Meat Train, a rare glimpse at the man’s most raw conceptual work through to the final product. Barker himself, however, will not be on hand which is probably a good thing from the gallery’s perspective.
