#SDCC14: BioWare Brings You a Nightmare Trailer
You’re running… running down a debris-laden alleyway. You reach your car while in a world of panic and pull at the handle, only to see yourself in the driver’s seat, staring back at you in cold deadpan. And oh yeah, a guy with smoke for a head.
Hit the sink and splash some cold water on your face. You’re having a nightmare, at least watching one, in the form of a teaser trailer released at Comic-Con for BioWare’s mysterious new IP.
The trailer is titled Shadow Realms and suggests the developer of the Dragon Age and Mass Effect series is moving in a new, very horrific direction. The trailer ends by asking, “What really happens when we sleep?,” suggesting the game will have the feel of playing through a nightmare. Anyone who has woken up panting in a drenched cold sweat after going toe-to-toe with Freddy Krueger will tell you the possibilities of this realm are limitless.
This game could possibly be the new title BioWare briefly mentioned at this years E7, of which Bioware’s executive producer, Casey Hudson, told IGN: “…we want to build a world that is as big and as imaginative as anything we’ve ever done,” suggesting this won’t be some simple dream but a full-on nightmare world.
The video came courtesy of the game’s new teaser site You’ve Been Chosen.
