The idea of Arnold Schwarzenegger starring in a zombie film is one that seems like mere fan fiction as it’s pretty much too good to be true. But the upcoming film Maggie is proof that sometimes…
…things that are too good to be true are actually true.
In the Henry Hobson-directed zombie flick, Arnold plays the father of a 16-year-old girl (Abigail Breslin) who is infected with the zombie virus, staying by her side as she transforms from human being to flesh-eating monster.
Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger as a zombie’s dad. We’re not making this up, and we’re so glad that we’re not.
It was announced today that Maggie will be having its world premiere next month as part of the Toronto International Film Festival’s 2014 lineup. The festival runs September 4th through the 14th, and Maggie will be one of many special presentations.
In the meantime check out a handful of stills from the film, which also stars Joely Richardson, Amy Brassette, Aiden Flowers, and Rachel Whitman Groves.
