Stephen King has turned Maine into an iconic state filled with horrors over the years so it’s only right that the upcoming documentary Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary makes its premiere on a double bill with Pet Sematary in Hancock, Maine.
On Saturday, September 17th, Unearthed & Untold will be playing at the Grand Theater in Ellsworth – one of the primary towns featured in the original film. This event is being billed as a double feature: They will also be showing Pet Sematary just before the documentary!
The doc’s filmmakers, John Campopiano and Justin White, will be in attendance as will some local cast and crew from the film.

Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary is an independent documentary taking an extensive look at the making of Pet Sematary, the origins of the story, the stories of cast and crew, memories of the Maine locals who helped make the film, and the legacy the film has established among horror fans and scholars of Stephen King’s work. In addition to featuring many cast and crew members never before interviewed about their involvement in the film, this documentary will also take fans on a tour of all the filming locations.
