Son of Frankenstein and Retro-Style NES Jason Voorhees Want Spots on Your Toy ShelfThere’s never been a better time than the present to be a horror fan who collects toys, and that’s largely thanks to the companies NECA and Mezco. Speaking of which, both companies have just unveiled exciting new offerings so read on to check ’em out!

First up, Figures.com reports that NECA has given its mega-popular 8-bit NES Jason figure a retro makeover, mashing together the video game and the company’s MEGO-inspired lines.

A follow-up to their 2017 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, this version of NES Jason is wearing real fabric clothing and is exclusively available at Toys R Us stores beginning this week. The figure features a removable hockey mask and three weapons: axe, machete, and spear-gun.

As for Mezco, their newest release is a limited edition Son of Frankenstein action figure based on the 1979 sequel. A variation of the previously released figure of Frankenstein’s Monster, the 9″ toy boasts ten points of articulation and is covered with scars from his assembly. The monster wears a genuine simulated fur tunic with cloth sleeves, and he stands atop his signature boots, towering over other figures.

Only 500 of the toys will be available worldwide, selling exclusively at the New York Comic Con, which runs October 9th through the 12th. They’ll of course be found at Mezco’s booth (#1605).

A very limited number will also go up for grabs on Mezco’s website on August 22nd so be sure to bookmark the page and check back this coming Friday!
