New Lords of the Fallen Trailer is Devilishly Cryptic“Only evil can destroy evil,” remarks the stoic narrator in a glimpse into the hidden secrets and living world of the upcoming action RPG Lords of the Fallen. Check out this latest trailer.

A red mist in a moonlit forest, a dungeon of torment, dizzying hilltop grottos… the new video is meant to showcase some of the settings found in Namco Bandai’s upcoming game. But what is truly intriguing is the trailer’s cryptic monologue, delivered by a brogue-voiced, mysterious narrator and revealing brief glimpses of some of the details surrounding the game.

It has been known since the game’s announcement that its anti-hero, Harkyn, would be battling an awakened god; and today’s trailer put a name to that ancient evil, Rhogar.

The voice speaks of an abandoned temple and that it is the gateway to Rhogar’s realm. This may indicate that the game will feature two realms: one of the living and one of the god Rhogar. This idea is further hinted at as the voice speaks of traveling to alternate dimensions.

“Find out the truth about the war.” The storyline for Lords of the Fallen has long been known to be that of ancient evil gods returning to Earth and humanity looking to former criminals to save them. But these brief quotes reveal another layer to the story, adding depth beyond the simplistic goal of hunting down the bad guys.

The trailer also hints that the game may have multiple endings, as the narrator states, “There is no single end to your journey.”

Lords of the Fallen will be available on October 28th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Those who pre-order the game will receive a free upgrade to the limited edition, which includes the game’s soundtrack, the Monk’s Decipher DLC, and the Demonic Weapons Pack DLC.
