Reeves Buries Constantine
Bad news came down this weekend for anyone who was looking forward to a follow-up to “>Constantine (review), the big screen adaptation of DC/Vertigo’s “Hellblazer” comic. Well, it’s bad news for people who wanted to see Keanu Reeves in the lead role at least.
IESB was in attendance at a Street Kings junket and asked the Mr. Reeves if he’d be appearing in a sequel to 2005’s Constantine. He responded that “despite planning it at one time, a second go-round as John Constantine wasn’t something he’d be interested in doing anymore.”
Luckily a sequel really doesn’t depend on Reeves, and there are plenty of other actors who could easily fill the role of John Constantine … and maybe for the better.
