Murphy, Page Join Peacock
Though I can’t say for sure this will appeal to genre audiences, a cast that includes Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later) and Ellen Page (An American Crime) is enough to make me take note. The pair just joined up for the film Peacock, a psychological thriller being helmed by newcomer Michael Lander according to Variety.
The title refers to the town of Peacock, NE, a town that is fooled by Murphy’s schizophrenic character into believing that his dual personalities are actually husband and wife. Page plays a single mother who holds the key to his past and forces his personalities to confront one another.
Yep, sounds like we’ll have at least one Gollum scene of Murphy arguing with himself, if not an entire film filled with it. Peacock was penned by Lander along with partner Ryan Roy and marks the duo’s first successful collaboration.
