Seeing Red

Red's Poster Revealed!Never mess with another man’s dog. Just don’t … especially if that man is in something written by Jack Ketchum.

I am still not sure what to make of Trygve Allister Diesen and Lucky McKee’s adaptation of Red. The cast is great and the stills we’ve seen look like this could be an intense film (“The Images are Red” – December 2007), but other than that I am at a loss. All that could have been solved if I was at Sundance like our friends over at Bloody Disgusting.

Their appearance at the festival certainly paid off since they got the exclusive look at Red‘s bad ass poster. Click here to check it out. Holy damn, that’s a lot of red! It’s even giving The Omen a run for its money in color.

BD also had a chance to interview the director who stepped into when Lucky McKee left the project. For those worried that the transfer from book to screen may be in jeopardy, Mr. Diesen says, “I read the book and the script, the book is terrific and Stephen Susco wrote a killer script.” Comforting news indeed!
